  29.      1. Extract the ChessMAGIC! archive contents into your defined 
  30.         Cmagic system directory.  
  31.

  36.      2. Due to its program size, CMSED.EXE has been split into three 
  37.         modules and is distributed in three archives. 
  38.         
  39.         Extract these archive file members into a work area, then run 
  40.         INSTALL.bat to compile the CMSED.EXE file.  Once the 
  41.         compilation is completed, the modules (CMSED330.00?) will be
  42.         deleted from your disk.
  43.  
  44.      3. Place the CMSED files in the the Cmagic system directory.  
  45.         Follow the CMSED.DOC "installation" section for optional file 
  46.         placement and customization. 
  47.     
  48.      4. RUN CMSED.EXE NOW! 
  49.     
  50.         The first two screens are where registration information is
  51.         entered.  For unregistered use, simply hit <ESC> to continue.
  52.         Registration and general information is available by tapping 
  53.         the <F1> key at this screen.  Upon registration, entry of your 
  54.         codes will eliminate the shareware screen that is displayed on 
  55.         program exit.

  57.         CMSED will automatically detect and will properly create 
  58.         any/all required ChessMAGIC! databases that might be missing. 
  59.      
  60.      4. NOTE:  If you are already running ChessMAGIC! v1.83f or        
  61.                higher, skip the next two paragraphs and go directly to 
  62.                instruction #5. 
  63.         
  64.         Next, if you are a ChessMAGIC! registered sysop, delete your 
  65.         existing CMAGIC.CFG file.  Run the CMSYS utility and redefine 
  66.         your BBS name for main menu display.  Choose the "U"tility 
  67.         option, followed by the "B" option.  This is required, since 
  68.         using a mismatched CMAGIC.CFG file will cause you lots of 
  69.         problems... 
  70.      
  71.         You also need to use CMSYS' "M"aintenance option to reconstruct 
  72.         your system statistics and ratings (option "C").  Once that's
  73.         done, you're all set!  This is also required, since the rating 
  74.         and statistical structure has been changed.

  76.      5. You may now run CMAGIC.EXE and experience the BEST chess door 
  77.         you'll ever find!  There's NO OTHER chess door that comes 
  78.         close!
